Debashis Chatterjee, one of the Founder-Members of Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies, passed away on May 27, 2021. He and his wife, both my friends from high school years, had fallen sick from COVID-19 about 10 days earlier.
Debashis was instrumental in many activities of Basudha in West Bengal from 2001 through 2010, until Basudha was relocated to Odisha, and lent constant support to CIS. His loss is irreplaceable.
