Basudha Laboratory for Conservation<\/a> is the country\u2019s \u2013 and perhaps the world\u2019s \u2013 only research laboratory that receives no funding support from any governmental and corporate institution and works for the benefit to the country\u2019s peasant farmers and forest people.<\/p>

Basudha Laboratory invites applications from Indian citizens with M.Sc.\/ M.Phil.\/ Ph.D.\/ D. Phil.<\/p>

Job description:
(i) DNA-based identification of different indigenous breeds of domesticated animals,including cattle,ducks and fowl;
(ii) Building up biochemical and molecular database of selected animals and their breeds in South Asia.<\/p>

Required skills:
(a) Familiarity with PCR, DNA gel electrophoresis and biochemical analytical techniques.
(b) Experience of work with bioinformatic software.<\/p>

Desired skills:
At least 1 year of experience in molecular biological work.<\/p>

Emolument offered:<\/p>

INR 25K (consolidated) + 1K (for HRA) p.m.<\/p>
